Gambia: IEC Begins Revising Court Hearings Ahead of 2026 Elections

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has commenced Revising Court hearings across The Gambia to determine objections arising from the 2026 supplementary voter registration exercise.

In a statement issued on Aug. 31, the IEC said magistrates appointed by the Office of the Chief Justice had begun hearing cases involving challenges to the registration of individuals during the supplementary voter registration exercise.
