CD Baby and SymphonyOS have joined forces to offer independent creators discounted access to SymphonyOS Pro through CD Baby’s Tools & Promotions page. This collaboration aims to provide CD Baby artists with innovative marketing tools to help them grow their fan base in a crowded digital music landscape.

CD Baby, a platform with a catalogue of 20 million tracks and serving over 2 million creators worldwide, has recognized the need to support its artists in standing out amid the noise of daily uploads to digital service providers (DSPs) surpassing 100K. In response to this, the partnership with SymphonyOS will give independent creators access to smart, automated marketing tools that draw from insights derived from marketing principles acquired from more than 125 million fans. This will assist artists in cultivating and sustaining fanbase growth, ultimately helping them to grow and build devoted fan bases who support their work.

Scott Williams, President of CD Baby, expressed the company’s commitment to offering new ways to support artist distribution and marketing. He stated, “At CD Baby, we are committed to offering new ways to support artist distribution and marketing, and SymphonyOS is one of the innovative tools we are excited to make available to our customers. We have been using SymphonyOS for some time and we’re excited to introduce the tool to our artists to help them grow and build devoted fan bases who support their work.”

On the other hand, SymphonyOS co-founder and CEO, Megh Vakharia, highlighted the company’s focus on empowering artists to grow their fan bases. Vakharia expressed, “We are all about empowering artists to grow their fan bases, and nobody has more experience helping independent creators reach fans than CD Baby. Now those creators can boost their growth with SymphonyOS’ intuitive automated marketing tools in their back pocket.”

The move comes at an opportune time for SymphonyOS, following the company’s recent achievement of securing $1 million in a pre-seed funding round and its collaboration with American distribution platform UnitedMasters. This collaboration aims to provide artists with exclusive access to music marketing and promotional tools geared towards enhancing exposure.

In a related development, CD Baby introduced CDB Boost in November to address the evolving needs of independent songwriters. This initiative includes support for mechanical royalty collection through The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) and non-interactive digital performance royalty collection via SoundExchange.

Overall, the partnership between CD Baby and SymphonyOS represents a strategic move to offer independent creators discounted access to innovative marketing tools, enabling them to grow their fan base and thrive in a competitive digital music landscape. The combination of CD Baby’s extensive reach and experience in supporting independent artists, coupled with SymphonyOS’ smart, automated marketing tools, is positioned to provide artists with valuable resources for advancing their music careers.
