The chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has withdrawn his endorsement for the Speaker of Parliament Anita Among and her deputy Thomas Tayebwa for the next speakership race amid public uproar over Among’s lavish lifestyle.
In a statement issued by the General Secretary of PLU, Mr David Kabanda on Tuesday, the PLU retracted their support for Ms Among and Mr Tayebwa for their candidature as the speaker of Parliament and deputy speaker of Parliament respectively in the 12th Parliament.
