The Nairobi Water Company has launched a crackdown on unlawful water meters in the capital, with the latest enforcement targeting residents of Utawala and Mihango in Embakasi.

In a notice issued on Thursday, May 7, the company gave residents in the area a 21-day ultimatum to regularise their water and sewer connections, warning that failure to comply will lead to disconnections and heavy penalties.
