Kenya: Transport Disrupted on Garissa-Mwingi Highway After Attackers Target Passenger Buses

Transport operations along the Garissa-Mwingi highway were temporarily halted on Tuesday evening after suspected attackers ambushed a passenger bus at the Ukasi area in Kitui County, leaving several people feared injured.

According to witnesses, the bus was travelling between Garissa and Mwingi when it came under attack near Ukasi.

The incident forced other vehicles also operating along the route to stop as fears spread.
