A multi-agency security team, including officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Anti-Narcotics Unit based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), has dismantled a drug trafficking attempt involving methamphetamine worth millions of shillings en route from neighbouring Tanzania.

The coordinated Tuesday, April 28, operation led to the interception of two separate consignments destined for international markets, among them the Philippines.
