The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has urged journalists and social media influencers in Sokoto State to step up efforts in public enlightenment as part of renewed moves to eradicate polio.

The call was made during a one-day mass mobilisation dialogue organised by UNICEF to galvanise media support ahead of the next round of polio immunisation scheduled for April 16 to 19, 2026.
