Konga demands 60% of song earnings from Burna Boy for sampling him

Veteran singer Konga has said he deserves 60 per cent of the earnings of Afrobeats star Burna Boy’s song ‘Update,’ claiming that the Grammy winner sampled him on the record without his permission.

Speaking in a recent episode of the Hits Don’t Lie podcast, Konga revealed that Burna Boy refused to reach out to him even after he called him out peacefully a few months ago.

He lamented that Burna Boy agreed to pay American singer Toni Braxton 60 per cent of the earnings from his 2022 smash hit ‘Last Last’ for sampling her song ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ but…
