A girl (15) drowned in a water pond at Okanjose village in the Kunene region on Friday afternoon.
This was confirmed in the weekend crime report by police spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi.
According to Shikwambi, the incident occurred at around 16h09 when the deceased, identified as Karikama Koruhama, was herding goats.
She had reportedly taken the animals to a natural reservoir in the nearby mountains for drinking when some of the goat kids strayed into the pond.
