No fewer than 50 members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Kibiya Ward in Kibiya Local Government Area of Kano State have defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Balarabe Kiru, on Wednesday in Kano.
The commissioner of the ministry, Adamu Kibiya, welcomed the defectors into NNPP, citing Governor Abba Yusuf’s commitment to good governance and development projects.
According to him, the governor has implemented projects in health, education, infrastructure, empowerment, and agriculture, benefiting residents of Kano.
