Leaders of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, have visited a former military leader, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd), and former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd), in Minna, Niger State.
The party said the meeting was part of efforts to boost democratic values and seek guidance from elder statesmen.
The former leaders, during the visit, applauded the SDP leadership for their sustained commitment to democratic ideals and their contributions to the growth and stability of Nigeria’s democratic system.
The duo stressed the need for collective responsibility among political leaders and citizens, urging all stakeholders to work together to ensure that democracy in Nigeria does not derail.
