The speculation of a possible joint ticket between Mr Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso is eliciting reactions across Nigeria.
DAILY POST recalls that in 2023, Obi was the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, while Kwankwaso flew the flag of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP.
Last week, a meeting between Kwankwaso and leaders of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, culminated in the former NNPP national leader joining the opposition coalition party, ADC.
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, Obi, a leading figure in the ADC and former governor of Anambra State, paid a Sallah visit to Kwankwaso in Kano, with a large crowd cheering both politicians.
