2027: Ex-IGP Mohammed Adamu gets North-Central APC backing for Nasarawa governorship election

The North-Central All Progressives Congress, APC, Forum has backed a former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, for the 2027 governorship election in Nasarawa State.

Adamu served as Nigeria’s 20th IGP, from January 2019 to April 2021.

Speaking with journalists at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Wednesday shortly before leaving for Lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the North-Central APC Forum, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, said after consultations, APC stakeholders in the zone have come to the conclusion that Adamu is the right person to succeed Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule.
