South African songstress, Tyla has won the ‘Best Afrobeats’ award at the 2025 edition of MTV Video Music Awards, VMAs.
She won the award over her Nigerian competitors with ‘Push 2 Start’, her hit song.
Tyla who clinched the top Afrobeats honour, however lost in the ‘Best Choreography’ category.
Other African nominees including Burna Boy, Ayra Starr left empty handed.
