The president of the party National Union for Change in Chad (UNAT), Ndjelar Koumadji Mariam, has been nominated as a candidate for the presidential election on May 6, 2024 during a congress held on Thursday, March 14.

The president of the National Union for Change party in Chad, Ndjelar Koumadji Mariam, in her speech, reiterated her commitment to elevate the voice of Chadian women in politics to the highest level in 2024. She stated that the United Nations Millennium Development Goals require gender equality between men and women.

She emphasizes that Chad must also adhere to this UN approach. “That is why I have put forward my candidacy for the presidential election on May 6,” she justifies.
