Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) is preparing to commission new backup generators at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to address the ongoing power outages at the facility. The generators, which have been undergoing testing, are expected to provide a solution to the frequent blackouts experienced in Kenya, including a 20-hour outage on August 26 that caused disruptions at JKIA.
