Zandaux’s launch of a new B2B E-commerce platform in Nairobi marks the beginning of a transformative era for African trade. The company, dedicated to enhancing intra-trade in Africa, unveiled its groundbreaking platform at Emara Ole Sereni on Tuesday.
During the launch event, Zandaux CEO Frank Obambi Ngatse discussed the company’s strategic expansion and growth plans. He revealed that Zandaux is set to launch in Lagos, Johannesburg, and Cairo by the end of February, signaling its commitment to facilitating trade across the continent.
Ngatse emphasized the platform’s ability to connect buyers and sellers across Africa, citing an example of how a buyer in Kinshasa could purchase goods from a factory in Mombasa and have them shipped directly. Crucially, Zandaux’s payment system is designed to ensure security and transparency for all parties involved. Ngatse explained that the buyer’s payment is not immediately released to the seller, but is held by a partner bank until the product arrives. This safeguards the buyer’s funds and gives both parties peace of mind throughout the transaction.
He also clarified that Zandaux does not directly handle the funds; instead, payments are processed through partner banks, ensuring that the money is secure and protected. Ngatse emphasized the importance of establishing strong partnerships with banks to streamline the payment process and provide assurance to all users.
Overall, Zandaux’s B2B E-commerce platform represents a significant step towards facilitating trade and collaboration within Africa. By leveraging innovative technology and strategic partnerships, the company aims to revolutionize B2B commerce on the continent and drive economic growth. As Zandaux continues to expand its reach to key African markets, it is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of trade in the region.
